Italian professional footballer Mario Barwuah Balotelli who
plays as a striker for Premier League club Liverpool and the Italian national
team may
be willing to give the shirt off his back to his opponents but it seems he is
not so charitable when it comes to his beloved car.
The Liverpool
ace was allegedly involved in an argument with a woman after the Italian
striker spotted her taking pictures of his red Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
Police were called after Mario reportedly
'threatened' the woman who was snapping away at his motor while it was parked
on a Manchester housing estate.
The bust up comes just a day after Mario was slammed by fans
and his manager after cameras spotted him swapping
shirts with Real Madrid's Pepe at half time in Liverpool's
3-0 Champions League loss on Wednesday.
Manager Brendan Rodgers said after the match: "It is
not something I stand for", and pledged to "deal" with the striker
today.
Madcap
Mario, 24, is thought to have travelled to the estate on Pewsey Road, Peel
Hall, Wythenshawe, at around 3pm today to visit his mum Rose Barwuah who lives
in the area.
The
Manchester Evening News claim that as he parked up a nearby resident came
out of her house to start taking pictures of the former Manchester City
striker’s wheels when it is alleged he began threatening her over the
photographs.
The woman reportedly called police to say the Italian and
Liverpool striker walked over to her and got ‘threateningly close’ and demanded
she stop taking pictures.
Everyone involved in the dispute is said to have gone inside
their respective houses before the police were called.
Greater
Manchester Police confirmed it is investigating the incident, which was
reported at around 3.05pm, but that none of the parties have yet been spoken to
by officers.
